NPT Male Hose Tails

The hydraulic hose connectors are manufactured in accordance with various standards, including ISO, SAE, DIN, JIS, BS, and NF, to ensure a broad range of applications for hydraulic pressure hoses.

A Zinc coating and Cr-VI free zinc plating process ensures a high corrosion resistance of all carbon steel products, in accordance with EU and US regulations as well as SAE J516 and DIN EN ISO 12151 requirements.

The exclusion of hexavalent chromium ensures an eco-friendly outcome without diminishing corrosion resistance.

The zinc-plating tested to EN ISO 9227 yields a minimum of 240 hours without corrosion, prior to crimping.

National Pipe Tapered (NPT)

American Connections. NPT (National Pipe Tapered) style pipe threads have been widely used for over 100 years. NPT is a U.S. standard for tapered threads used on pipes and fittings. They are used to effectively seal pipes for fluid and gas transfer. The NPT standards oversee both external and internal pipe threads, so both the male and female pipe ends are consistent and predictable. Every NPT thread has a taper rate of ¾-inch per foot, or 1/16-inch per inch of length.

What is the difference between NPT and British Standard pipe?

With BSP, the peaks and valleys of the threads are rounded. In NPT, they are flat and sharp. The third difference is the cut angle of the thread. BSP threads are cut at 55 degrees, while NPT are cut at 60 degrees.

Standard: SAE J476 / ANSI/ASME B1.20.1
