Festo solenoid coils are electromagnetic components used to electrically control pneumatic valves in industrial automation systems for factory and process automation. They convert electrical signals into magnetic force to move valve parts, enabling precise control of fluid/gas flow in machines, available in various specs (voltage, power, protection) for different applications, including hazardous environments. 

 

Simply supply it with 110/120V AC and its copper winding will create a magnetic field. This, in turn, powers a built-in armature, which lets you operate an attached valve. Thanks to its polyamide and steel housing, this handy device is strong and durable, so it can happily the knocks and scrapes expected in an industrial setting.
