Festo solenoid coils are electromagnetic components used to electrically control pneumatic valves in industrial automation systems for factory and process automation. They convert electrical signals into magnetic force to move valve parts, enabling precise control of fluid/gas flow in machines, available in various specs (voltage, power, protection) for different applications, including hazardous environments. 

 

When electric current passes through the coil, it generates a magnetic field that opens or closes the valve, allowing or stopping the flow of fluid in a pipe. Thanks to the unit's minimum pickup time of 10ms, you can be sure of a speedy response. With a +/-10% permissible voltage fluctuation, it's robust enough to ride out any minor glitches in its power supply.
